Malus toringo 'Scarlett' is a Danish selection. Small tree, 6 m high and 3 m wide. Purple leaves in the early summer, that turn to green before eventually turning bright oranges and reds with purple accents in the autumn. In April-May, rich pink flowers are followed by purple fruits. Leaves are deeply lobed. Grows on well-drained and nutritious soil types. Malus toringo 'Scarlett' can be used as a specimen tree/shrub in full sun or partial shade in small gardens or narrow streets. Shows good disease resistance.
