Le Prunus sargentii 'Charles Sargent', tree with a height of 8-10 m and a flatened spherical crown. Trunk with beautiful, glossy, chestnut brown bark. Shoots have a sienna colour, the foliage then turns green in summer and redorange in autumn. Flowers early April before the leaf buds, with light pink flowers 30-35 mm, 2-4 combined. Very abundantly flowering for about three weeks and hardly fading in colour. The small fruits that it bears are dark red in colour. Prunus sargentii 'Charles Sargent' is suitable for parks, avenues and streets.
