Prunus serrulata 'Amanogawa' is a well-know, narrow columnar upright growing ornamental cherry, 5-6 m high. In Japanese, ‘Amanogawa’ means the galaxy or river of the heavens. The young leaf is yellowish bronze in colour. Flowers abundantly, with dense bunches of single to half- double soft pink flowers along the rising branches and twigs. Also very suitable for smaller gardens.
