Tetradium daniellii var. hupehensis, is a tall tree with a height of up to 20 m, slightly resembling the Phellodendron. Odd pinnate leaf with 7-9 leaflets, bright green. Flowers in June with small cream-coloured flowers in wide pyramidal, finely pilose plumes. Bees and other insects love the flowers, that is why in the Netherlands this tree is also called 'Bee tree'. After blossoming, Tetradium daniellii develops reddish purple to black fruits. An exclusive park or specimen tree.
