The park was designed by garden architect Bernard Bellion-Jourdan of Art Design Nature. Relatives and surviving dependants can stroll through the park over a coherent labyrinth of trails. Nursery Udenhout supplied all planting material; trees, multistems, forestry, perennials and shrubs. For example, the multistemmed ornamental cherry Prunus ‘Accolade’ colours the park pink during spring time, whilst the fruits of the spindle tree (Euonymus europaeus) stand out in autumn.
Beneath a tree or a rose bush, surviving dependants can bury an urn and place a bronze plaque in memory of those who passed away. Trees can serve as a connection between different generations and symbolise a long life and immortalize the memory of a loved one.
In the memorial park ashes can be scattered beneath a custom made pergola. Urns can also be stored in a specially designed urn cellar which is surrounded by rose bushes. In the park a so-called ‘lot of stars’ can be found where ashes of children who passed away can be scattered.
