Aesculus hippocastanum ‘Baumannii’ is a wide and slightly denser crown. Main branches relatively horizontal spreading, which means that the trunk must be pruned high enough, when used as a street or avenue tree. Leaf species-specific, keeps its green colour longer. Buds are sticky. Flower consists of double flowers, white with some red patches. Flowers at the end of May. Bears virtually no fruits, which is a major advantage when used as a large street and avenue tree. Beautiful tree for the widest streets and avenues, squares and boulevards
