A recently registered birch from the US (Tree Introductions Inc.), the Betula nigra 'Dura Heat'. Beautiful yellow autumn colouring. Holds its yellow leaf more than one month longer than Betula nigra ‘Heritage’. Small, narrow and thick, dark green leaf. Creamy-coloured peeling bark. Height 10-15 m, width up to 7 m. Grows on any soil type and can handle extreme drought perfectly.
