Platanus orientalis var. cuneata, an oriental plane with 3-(5)-lobed, deeply incised foliage, the narrow leaf lobes of which are often slightly wavy. Height 25-30 m. The habit is species-specific. The trunk is yellow, and the green (sometimes grey) bark flakes off in small pieces. After flowering in May, decorative fruits appear that stay on the tree untill the winter. Primarily used as a park tree.
