Quercus ilex, evergreen shrub or tree. In its indigenous environment, the Mediterranean, it can reach heights up to 20 m. Wide, round densely branched crown on a thick robust trunk. Grey smooth bark. Leathery, elliptical or lancet-shaped, sharply serrated leaf. Leaf shiny green with a grey and woolly pilose underside. To be planted in sheltered locations.
